Test and Tag for Commercial operations

Factories and Commercial Premises

While it is true that every workplace requires its equipment to be tested, the frequency of testing varies depending on the environment.

Factories, workshops, places of manufacture, assembly, maintenance or fabrication require testing every 6 months. Yet on the other end of the scale, in a perfect environment where plugs and leads are kept risk free, i.e they are protected from being kicked or jammed and are not plugged into a multi-plug, retest periods in an office environment can be up to five-yearly.

Despite being a lower risk than the likes of the construction industry, Factories, Warehouses and Offices all have an element and varying Workplace risk for electrical appliances and tools. Even the humble computer leads are prone to bending, tripping and burning risks. It is widely accepted that the test and tag process is the most efficient and reliable form of ensuring your workplace is safe from electrical harm.

Let the specialists at Kadec find those appliances at risk.

RETAIL SHOPS AND OFFICES

Many appliances within the retail and office sectors require testing every 12 months, however the standard does allow for variance based on an assessed risk level, for example in a perfect environment where plugs and leads are kept risk free, are protected from being kicked or jammed as in an enclosed space and are not susceptible to dust, retest periods can be up to five-yearly.
